DARWIN!

Apart from being convinced that BMS Darwin equals (and it is not an heresy to maintain that in some cases surpasses) international masterpiece-albums of progrock, apart from being italian thus possibly supporting this musical genre, apart from having quite frequent possibilities to attend live BMS performances in which Darwin pieces have - of course - great relevance (and believe that in the case of the BMS really "walls of sound", even in theater/conservatory acoustic concerts, not only in electric...!), this is absolutely a MUST for all of those who appreciate progrock.

It is clear this is not (only) a raccomandation of the album, expecially because it is not needed (what is a recommendation in front of a masterpiece?!?), but (also) a personal tribute to artists who mantained their consistent identity through the years, till now (who did it fully???), taking their strenght from 70's inspiration with 00's musicalities (this is highlighted by recent reissues of the album).

Music (with succesful combination of sometimes striking or strident notes put fantastically together), instrumental parts (and not only superlative keyboards - too easy to sustain), voice (an extensive range), lyrics (telling fables with words), solos ((telling fables with notes - often unexpected), different (italian) influences in an unique capability to determine a common and sole identity (e.g. "la danza dei grandi rettili", "100 mani 100 occhi" or "miserere", it is possible pass from church, to jazz, to tarantella-like background, yet not losing a perfect and unique BMS identity), blend (and passages) of (through) different musical themes, ecc.
