5 stars This, I believe, is Pink Floyd's greatest work. While stylistically it does not differ significantly than its prodigious predecessor, it still offers an exceptional musical experience. Pink Floyd manages to weave hypnotizing melodies, dreamy vocals, and stellar songwriting all into one neat package with this album, and for that reason, I believe that it merits a perfect 5 star rating.

No song on this album really drags at all, and they all have superb moments. While an album with 4 songs, one of which bookends the album with a total time of over 25 minutes, may seem daunting to a casual listener of classic rock, this album manages to make every single piece flow and work beautifully.

Although this album may not merit repeated listens in one session, I believe that because there are no real weak points to this album, and at its best it excels in nearly all aspects, that it deserves a 5 star rating, and is consequently one of my favorite albums ever released.
