3 stars APP's "I Robot" was a bit of a disappointing follow-up to the excellently-crafted "Tales of Mystery and Imagination." Really, this isn't a bad album, but most of the songs are just "pretty good." There are only two songs that stick out in my mind as very good: "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You" (which has a funky/dance-like beat,) and the soft "Don't Let It Show." The tracks "Nucleus" and "Total Eclipse" are barely listenable, at best, and are simply filler material used as transitions. A pretty good album in its own right that I can enjoy every once in a while, just don't go in expecting another "TOMAI."
