5 stars Leprous outdid themselves with this one!

Their new found sound - well kind of new, since an "aura" of sorts was already showcased in Coal - has proven very exciting. There are some excellent songs in this record ranging from a wide variety of sounds, including power ballads like The Flood, pumped up pieces like Rewind and Third Law. This album almost has it all. Almost, because as in everything in life, it's not perfect. The only track I found repetitive and lacking on inspiration was the sixth track Within My fence. Progressive metal, through and through, this album, along with Steven Wilson's Hand.Cannot.Erase have two very high points in 2015, compensating for a "not so good" 2014. Masterfully executed, The Congregation is a must have! All prog listeners should have a look at these contemporary talents.
