This live record clearly show how fantastic these guys were on live scene. Leb i Sol (Bread and Salt) are one of the best ex-
Yugoslavian rock bands, mixing elements of jazz-rock with traditional macedonian folk music influences, playing warm, melodic music,
and they were techically superb, too.
Vocals are rare in their songs, but when he sings, Stefanovski does it fantastic, because of his warm, cool voice.
After two fantastic and one good album, they did few less succesfull albums, after which they release this live set, and when it
starts with two less inspiring songs, it does not sound promissing, but then it kicks out with beautiful track called Mirko. And than
here come almost all their great songs, and they play them even better than on studio albums, and they even do not have keyboard
player. If there were keys, this concert would have probably been a masterpiece.
Tracks Kumova slama and Rucni rad are especially interesting and played better than on their album where these tracks are shown
for the first time.
In Kumova slama singer uses some sort of falsetto vocals following guitar, which sounds amazing to me.
One more letdown might be Aber Dojde Donke, which is not played the best here. I never liked odd time signature and complicated
and dynamical druming in this song, and here drummer goes even further in loud and dynamic weird style of druming, with beautiful
guitar melody pulled back in background.
Ziva rana is expanded into long lasting improvisations, with solo guitar, bass and drums performances.
My favourite track here is Kokoska (Chicken), because of great combination of virtuosic guitar playing and fantastic rhythms and
melodies, and it is really funny track.
Leb i Sol really rocks!
