1 stars Miles Davis has been and still is a very important musician. He may be even regarded as a founding father of the jazz-rock / fusion music. Many a fusion musian (and not only fusion!) will name him as an influence . Think of Chick Corea, Mahavishnu, Jean Luc Pony or Tony Williams. All coming from the same Miles Davis school. But them, they went further and created actually enjoyable music, thanks to attention to the compositional part of the whole. Miles Davis is unquestionably one of the most gifted horn players ever. Saying that, doesn't mean that I do like his music :-). There is too much technicality and too little composing to my taste. This can be said of "Kind Of Blue" as well. All songs seem quite identical and brewed according to the same recepy. Once more, playing is superb, but as a whole offering, it is not too impressive. I think, it is interesting only for the collectors or funs, max of 2 stars.
