4 stars I bought this album, I mean the vinyl, more than twenty years ago. I did not know anything about the Renaissance. I think I was attracted by the strange image of the jacket. Later I listened all the first period Renaissance's album (till Novella), but I must confess that I continue to prefer this "Prologue", because here I find more effectively balanced some of the peculiar ingredients of the their music, as to say the outstanding voice of Annie Haslam, the superb piano of John Tout, and finally this XIX century Russian Stimmung that surprisingly blows from almost every tune. 4,5 stars
