4 stars I was born in 1977 so I can't recall the impact that the first albums of la Bush made on the world of recorded music.

But I must say that her second full-lenght is way ahead of most music I know. It even rivals her debut. The songs have a certain urgency, the production is warmer and more coherent. The same musicians are deployed for this record (plus the talented Francis Monkman), and all of these musicians are accomplished progrockers, and one can definately hear that in the sublime album.

The songs seemingly flow into one another. So when playing this album, the first three songs already seem like an prog-epic. I can't understand why some people would rate this album so low.

Just listen to Wow, and one would immediately go Wow! Kate Bush is the un crowned queen of progressive art-pop, undeniably!
