5 stars As the title of this live EP implies, the songs are all taken from Soft Black Stars - the renditions here performed in a couple of sets at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London in April 2001. The presentation is, instrumentally speaking, very true to the sparse "piano and very subtle backing violin" style of that album, but the live setting finds Tibet discovering new emotion within the songs, making this complement the parent album very well. Anohni of Anthony & the Johnsons fame provides haunting, spectral backing vocals on an excellent performance of A Gothic Love Song, which turns out to be one of the gems of the set.
