Never Let Go is a true Camel classic, and a very beautiful song. The lyrics are every bit as relevant today as ever, with people giving in to alarmism and panic. I think there is an important truth in the message expressed here that "Man is born with the will to survive" and that "He will get by, somehow he'll try". We might not know how at the present moment, but somehow we will.

The single version of Never Let Go was included as a bonus track on the remastered CD version of Camel's self-titled debut album, and it is shorter than the album version. The album version is over six minutes while the single edit is three minutes and forty seconds. Usually I despise single edits, but some are better than others, and in this case I find it acceptable. Nonetheless, I do prefer the longer version.

The B-side of the single is Curiosity, also taken from Camel's self-titled debut. It works well, both within the album and here. Yet, if you have the album, you have all you need.
