ERÄMAAN VIIMEINEN

This is a folksy EP with some metal riffs - one song in two different versions originally embedded in the Platinum edition of their recent album 'Dark Passion Play' as the song Last of the wilds. The first version comes with cheerful finnish vocals by Jonsu (INDICA) and has entered the charts in Finland at the end of 2007. It really sounds like a contribution for a song contest for me beginning like an irish volkslied with violin, flute and acoustic guitar and later underlaid with some heavier guitar riffs.

I'm not familiar with the whole album yet but I hope it contains some more songs which are not so close to mainstream. This one is unfortunately not very inspiring for a proghead and only something for Nightwish fans and collectors.
