4 stars When I think of Explosions in the Sky. I think polished guitar oriented post-rock with no vocals, and slow buildups. This is a good quick description of their best album 'The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place'. This album is much more raw. It still is guitar oriented and there are no vocals, but this album sounds more like Pelican or Isis in places. I don't think there is a week track on this album. So if you like TEINACDP and you also like Pelican, then this is a great album to pick up.
