5 stars This album is a complete master piece. It has a slew of requisite radio hits that one might expect from crossover-prog band. In Crime of the Century's case these are some of the band's all time best: Bloody Well Right, School and Dreamer. After those three comes Rudy and the title track which are the more well known B sides by the band; always fan favourites. Hide in your shell, If Everyone is Listening and especially Asylum are the kind of songs that really make Supertramp's music stand out from the rest for me. The singing so into it and the pacing of the songs are just right. They have an ability to hit so many moods over their course which is such an awesome trait. Crime of the Century isn't just a good crossover-prog album or progressive rock album. It is one of the best albums of the Rock music era and the kind of album that so many other bands can only dream of. This album deserves all the praise it gets. 5 Stars.
