1 stars The early middle eighties were not the best years of this Spanish bands (but to be honest, they were not the only ones to be in the same situation).

After the release of two good and symphonic albums, Medina Azahara released two works which should be considered as fillers in their discography. Pop-rock or just main stream rock is what is available on these recordings (Andalucía and this Caravana Española).

If you want to discover some basic Spanish rock: this is the one; but I doubt that it is our objective. In terms of prog music, there are hardly one song that can cope with this denomination.

AOR and easy listening rock music, at best. I really can't point out any track from this album. The inspiration is poor, the wonderful guitar play from Miguel Galán is non-existing. All that we have to face is just below average rock music. There are tons of better albums in the genre, and there is virtually not a single reason to be interested by this weak Caravana Española.

The only good news is that this album is very short (just over half an hour); so that the punishment is not too long to suffer. I wouldn't comment any song in particular: none are worth to be honest. A short guitar break during El Soldado maybe.

To be reduced to these sorts of remarks speaks for itself. One is unfortunately limited to talk about the worst songs in here and not about highlights. Navajas De Cartón is pretty much significant of the former type of songs available on this poor album.

Some original band members aren't there any longer, but I can hardly believe that this is the cause of this nightmare (I'm sorry to write this, but it is absolutely the truth). Let's blame the eighties and let's call it quit.

One star is the only possible rating.
