5 stars As an ELO fan, I enjoy all of their albums and the work Jeff Lynne has had his hand on. Time is one of their perfect albums. The mixture of technology in synth work, recording technique and production values are perfectly married to some of the best songs Lynne ever wrote for the ELO project. This album marked a turning point in ELO's style, away from the disco sound of Discovery and even further away from their orchestral roots, yet this album has a sound that cannot be mistaken for anyone else but ELO. This album has a bit of a theme thread running through it's tracks. I you listen to it in sequence you can imagine a story taking place about life , love and love lost. It's been 28 years since it's release, and it still plays as great today as it did back then!
