3 stars The music on "The Glass Tear" is beautiful and laidback, at times with fairly symphonic arrangements. Soft keyboards á la Pendragon or later Camel are mixed with delicate acoustic and warm electric guitars. References would include Collage's "Safe" or Clepsydra's "Hologram" only with less emphasis on the guitar parts, and overall it is not as varied. It's not a bad album, but it could have been a lot better had it been a little more dynamic. It just feels a little too mellow and romantic for my taste. But if you like any of the bands just mentioned, or dare I even say an album like "Forse Le Lucciole Non Si Amano Piú" by Locanda Delle Fate, then you might want to check this one out as well. It´s not nearly as good as the latter though.
