3 stars An excellent album, but I'm only giving it a 3 here because it's not very progressive. This album is a lot more towards the mainstream direction. But it does have a lot of diversity, which does make it a classic. To appreciate this album, you have to like metal as well as prog, not just look for prog all the time. Because it's a bit more absent on this album than any other of their albums. Still having lots of memorable melodies, it's a great album that is both heavy and soft at other parts. Progressive Fans would enjoy the Unforgiven the most, I think, and also Nothing Else Matters.

If you're looking only for prog, you can look past this album, but it's an excellent Metal album in its own name. If this were Metalarchives.com or something like that, I'd give this one a 5 star.
