5 stars Underrated album!

I have to say that this album is nowhere near four stars. It's more solid than it's follower "Nursery Cryme". Some might blame the sound quality but for me it's great. This album still had Anthony Phillips (guitar) and John Mawyhew (drums) replacing Steve Hackett and Phil Collins.

1. Looking for Someone 9/10, Great song to start the album. Gabriel does really well on the vocals here. He's pretty good at playing flute too! Definitely a great song.

2. White Mountain 9/10, Dreamtheather "stole" the chorus riff and made their biggest hit "Pull me Under". Haha, maybe they did get some inspiration from this song for sure. Mike Portnoy is a big Genesis fan! Anyways, quite gloomy song with a really good chorus. Good flute + great guitar work here. Nice one...

3. Visions of Angels 8.5/9, Hmmm... Chorus intensive song, you like it if you like the chorus. I happen to like it (i know somepeople who don't).

4. Stagnation 9.5/10, The second best song on the album. Simply fantastic, one of the best song Genesis have ever made. Beautiful and haunting melodies leading to a climax. Wow!

5. Dusk 8/10, Weakest and also the shortest on the album. Not a bad song for sure, just a little bit weaker than the others. Some great acoustic guitars and vocals here for sure. It just feels little bit like a "filler".

6.The Knife 10/10, The magnum opus of the album. Top three songs Genesis have ever made for sure. Also the only song, where I've heard Gabriel scream?! Sick drumming , keyboards are cool + Anthony's guitar solo is a top notch. Maybe the first "metal" song ever made? I might be wrong but it's definitely among the first ones

A solid album, does not have as many flaws as the next one. This one won't open on the first listen. Need quite a few, so don't give up after the first one.
