4 stars Canadian band The Box have a nice little release here, with their first ever progressive rock album following 13 years after they ended a career as a pop band.

AOR-tinged progressive rock with some complexities and peculiarities is the name of the game - and variations in style from spacey rock to world music spiced songs, slick performed and produced and with a slightly retro feel to it overall. A couple of nice moody ballads as well, with great atmosphere to them due to Jean Marcs excellent vocals.

Overall the album is a bit uneven, but there's enough goodies here to make this release worth checking out.
