THROUGH TIME

This isn't even a "Rush" album in the sense that the band had much of anything to do with it. The fact that they are my favorite band doesn't keep me from seeing the obvious negatives to this album. For one, as I stated, Rush had nothing to do with it; it was their record company's attempt to make a "best of" collection for overseas fans in particular. This doesn't even come off as a "best of" collection, as many of the tracks feel like they were randomly chosen from albums that had alot more to offer. Also, Rush's longer pieces are absent, leading one to believe that this album was created solely for commercial purposes, which any fan of Rush will tell you they've always been against. Avoid this unless you're bent on owning everything Rush. Even many collectors may want to avoid this one.
