4 stars The first time I heard a track of this album, I was hooked by the complex and yet accessible music of Birds and Building. It was Ycatan65. I was estonished by their unique style combining - almost - all the categories used on this site. When I heard the opening title, here, I immediately bought the album. The other songs I discovered add a new mood compared to my two first experience. More nostalgic it comes closer to the other composition of Dan Britton, with Deluge grander. The sax, however, with its jazzy sounds, opens a new path to its creativity. I surely consider this album as an "excellent addition to any pro collection". I can't give 5 stars because of two points: - I lsten to this album, with a lot of pleasure, but only from time to time. The very personnal atmosphere of Dan's composition requires to be "in the mood" and have appropriate listening conditions. - As others, I would friendly advise Dan to let someone else sing... His voice is used to enrich the sound, deepen the general atmosphere of strangeness, agitation, confusion... but it comes to the point of distracting a bit.
