In my new vision of Prog it is difficult to judge The Beatles as Prog band. But sure The Beatles are between the inventors of Prog with ''Revolver'' and ''Sgt. Pepper's...''.

''1'' is only a compilation of UK or USA #1 and for this motive (but only for this motive) this compilation is good.

In my view is important that in these track list certain songs are presents. But... Is Prog present? Well... No. But nevertheless be said that ''1'' is a compilation for Progsters. This because The Beatles invent Prog, also if in this compilation Prog is not present.

When I was a child I heard many times The Beatles and like me, makes sense that they still like me. But if I judge this compilation in Prog view... It is not a Prog compilation. Also if its intrinsic value is immense.
