4 stars Another very solid, if unspectacular, release. The band was by now split between the secular (Walsh) and the Spiritual (Livgren and Hope) with the latter ultimately winning the day, leading to Walsh's departure to form the ill-fated though very good Streets. Hold On represents a game stab at regaining the glory of Dust In The Wind, whilst Loner was the first bona fide rocker they'd written in a while. Combine this with the pomp metal grind of Curtain Of Iron and the more 'classic' Kansas sound of No One Togetherand you have arguably the last 'proper' Kansas album ever released.
