5 stars If you would like to know what this album is like, imagine this...

You are at an outdoor inter-galactic prog festival on some far away planet. You're lying on a blanket with your eyes closed, as the warmth of the two setting suns gives way to an amber sky, softly illuminating the giant mushroom-like trees and multi-winged creatures that flit between them. Around you are creatures that would look at home on any Star Wars set, all grooving to the universal language of music. The one next to you bobs and nods its three heads in a poly-rhythmic sequence. On stage, Kotebel is playing. Their flute lulls you into a pastoral mood, while the rest of the band tickles your motor reflexes with their spacey attitude. Flightful melodies, not too calm, and not too anxious, are carried aboard a forward-leaning groove that has the entire inter-galactic audience nodding along. The feeling you have is comfortingly familiar, yet other-worldly. That is the Kotebel "Cosmology" experience. Pay attention to the track "Mechanical Universe"... it is catchy and addicting.
