3 stars WARNING! having an open mind is recommended to give this album a listen. To fully enjoy the album you must understand the band, the music. Some people will think it's just some noisy jam others will think toby driver is a genius. Sadly I'm neither.

Toby Driver certainly reached and broke some boundaries with his music. You can really feel the wall of sound getting to you along with short "melodies" or "anti-melodies". It's not the kind of music you'll listen just for fun or when you're happy. It's the kind of music that keeps you intrigued and interested. It's like a weird movie that doesn't have a story but you still want to know what will happen next.

The percussions are really important as it serves as creating a wall of sound or just setting the mood and feel. Being extremely psychedelic you can't really know when they will appear and that makes the music disturbing but not in a bad way. Like a nightmare you'd like to do again for the different emotions it procured.

I know the review is kind of going everywhere and kind of ethereal but it fits the music.

PS : perhaps seeing them live might make you like their music more as its more performance than just music.
