![]() It's way more original than two previous one (especially In The Wake Of Poseidon which is something like echo after In The Court Of The Crimson King, but that's pretty obvious). KC created one of the most suggestive images in their career, with the touch of sea, faraway lands and strange adventures... The strings and sax mostly makes this magic. In my opinion it's the most conceptual album by KC. I think also the reason of this underrating is that "Islands" is very peaceful and slow album. It's easy to fall asleep while listening, not because it's boring - by all means no. Quite the opposite - it's so amusing that it engages all attention and sends you to the dreamland, cause that's where this music belongs to. Not from this world. Pure and strange beauty.
