4 stars A brilliant sophomore recording from this band. They've captured the 70's Psychedelic/Prog vibe very well and their tunes and musicianship are top notch. The influences are a tad obvious (Crimson, Floyd and even Sabbath) but nothing jarringly lifted from the classic genre. There's a healthy dose of Mellotron flutes, choir and strings throughout with an overall consistent analog feel to the disk. Unfortunately, it's all severely let down by the mix which I can only describe as 'fatiguing'. 'The Weirding' would've gotten a full five stars from me if only the final audio quality matched the endearing composition and playing. Still worth buying though...
