3 stars For who search the origin of RPI or Italian Psychedelic Rock this is a good budget compilation.

In first I see this compilation and immediately I bought this compilation because contain only Italian version of famous USA, French or English songs. Certainly some songs are not Prog but all these songs are good for who search the origin of RPI.

In first I note that some songs are performed by Dik Dik, I GiGanti and I Califfi. And the Italian version of 'Scarborough Fair' (by Simon & Garfunkel) re-titled 'La Fiera Del Perdono' is one of the more Prog songs by an Italian band because in this version have a pure Psychedelic arrangements. Two songs are in origin by Procol Harum: 'L'Ora Dell'Amore' ('Homburg') (in the version by I Camaleonti) and 'Senza Luce' ('A Wither Shade Of Pale') performed by Dik Dik. these two versions are strange because equal to the original versions but sungs in Italian. 'Tutta Mia La Cittą' is thje Italian version of 'Blackberry Way' by The Move, in this case in the version of The Group and not in the better version of Equipe 84 (that in 70's produces some RPI albums). Good is also 'Se Io Fossi Un Falegname' by Dik Dik (Italian version of 'If I Were A Carpenter') and Sognando La California (by Dik Dik), Italian version of 'California Dreamin'').

Sure this compilation deserves a great attention if you search the origin of RPI, also because contain songs by Dik Dik, I Califfi and I GiGanti (bands listed on PA) and also because contains 2 songs by I Camaleonti, a good Proto RPI/ POP band.
