4 stars Well.. after the success of Leyenda, Alux had the challenge to achieve another good album, and get finally international... with a new label... Sony Music... and for our lucky, this album standout in every department. Finally, this great songs have the sound that they diserve... so this is a standard 5 star album... but in prog matters, and excellent addition, especially for fans of symphonic elements in rock...

supprisingly, the album is heavy, with songs focus on elec. guitar riffs and vocals... symphonic songs are like "El Gigante del Jardín", "Salva" and "500 años"... those songs manages a heavy driven style with great cello's leads and solos that makes interesting stuff... three great songs...

Then we have more regular alternative songs... like "Arboles", "La Plegaria del Hombre Lobo", "Qué me pasó?" and "Niños de Maíz"... the first two have great flaute arrangements that really lift the songs to a complete new label, very fresh and interesting. The other two are more "normal" for their standards... but still rocking nice... so you can just dive in and enjoy...

Then we have the ballads... "Del Suelo se Suele Aprender", "Sola", "Alma Verde" and "Vuelve"... These four are really their best work on ballads -maybe just Libre Sentimiento is above all of these...- The songs are touching, inteligent, have great arrangements and are very different between them. "Sola" is one of the most beautiful acoustic guitar songs ever written, while "Vuelve" is a piano power-ballad that brings out a lot of nostalgia in me... don't know why... then "Alma Verde" is kind of average but still cleaver and sounds well... and "Del Suelo...", men... what a great song... I have no words... really...

I leave "Trovador de la noche" on the side because is kind of odd... Was a single, it is a hit... some good atmosphere around, great chords riffs, good brass ensamble and is a funny song... but don't know... that song feels to me that doesn't belongs to the album... still, is a good song and is something interesting for a lot of fans from Alux that I met...

All in all, the album had 6 singles... go sells "gold"... Vuelve is maybe the most succesful song in radio rotation of Central America... and today is a raritie... those yerks from SONY don't make any more copies... so... if you're lucky to find an used one, buy it... it really worth the listen... a great addition to your discography... for sure..!!!
