4 stars These offerings by Greco Bastián, hailing from Acapulco, Mexico (?!) present a pretty fresh and dynamic take on Avant, RIO, Zeuhl and overall PROG influences, blending those with a particular touch that brings cohesion to these songs. Plus , there seems to be a very "humoristic" approach to the music, or irony in it's titles, wich is always a good companion to any release concerning the genres above mentioned. On the other hand, this seems to be some kind of preliminary work, because, although it sounds very "natural", this music was created via DAWS (as stated on the artist's Bandcamp page) , and in the aim of something bigger, we hope to hear this music and some of the other releases recorded with a full band in a proper studio, i think it could be very exciting and these songs could reach the ears of many prog fans that are not inclined to DAW or computer generated music. Overall, a great listening experience and an exceellent addition to any Avant, RIO, or Prog collection.
