4 stars 1. Fight Fire With Fire ah this arpeggio, for those who didn't know as if it were possible, it's won! After this torrent of extreme musical lava, this thrash metal power that refers to its predecessor; the syncopated rhythm, well it's violent real metal, hard, heavy, but not prog related, it makes me laugh; although it allows me to put the review on it, thanks ProgArchives! Well the machine gun calms down in a hubbub, carpet of bombs and 2. Ride the Lightning follows, the eponymous, hammering a little more on the earth filled with these still smoking bombs; the riff, ultra, the rumble of extreme pads, the vocal almost screamed, hints of their original sound, very oriented. The sacred fire of this METALLICA which goes on a solo guitar tornado, cult moment, swirling; consensual finale with chorus, riff and monstrous metallic pad 3. For Whom the Bell Tolls with the one borrowed from AC/DC? In short, the intro that kills, nicely. The rise of sap with this bass solo from Cliff, demonic bewitching; after that it's the typical sound, with James who belches more than he sings and already the bell and already Kirk who shears his neck; what but we're already at the end, I'll do it again! 4. Fade to Black intervenes, icy and crystalline acoustic for the ballad of another time on a vocal in the distance and the guitar that lights up this cheerful title; the riff arrives and increases the tension before going back down; we will be entitled to a second round. Well it's stronger, more incisive, more nervous, more provided, it is... The unfolding on this wave riff that comes to break on the speakers, the memory of IRON MAIDEN in the distance, ah all the titles are similar in the end, the almost soft solo of Kirk that comes to close this perfect side. But the solo continues even after the fade.

5. Trapped Under Ice comes running back to the sound of the 1st album with the frenetic rhythm and the riffs engaging one on the other, with the vocal shouted, screamed; short pure metal title 6. Escape follows, ditto but more laid back and more dynamite; the riff is there and carries the voice, the choir a little more melodic before going into second gear with this fluid guitar that distills its notes at all costs. The drum, the siren, the apocalyptic finale in a frantic hell, again and again, can we really put words to this title? 7. Creeping Death follows, the thunder is not over, the pads, the riff, the riffs, and the tam that rolls for the explosive shear, and a 3rd title that looks the same, that comes together with the clearer voice, a title that is worth it for its captivating chorus coming from the muddy depths 8. The Call of Ktulu will give the final slap with this oh so eternal hard spaghetti title; the notes that are heard from the guitar, the MORRICONE sound in the distance, the saturation, the prog blood that starts to flow from this extreme metal anthem; 3 minutes and we move on... the 3rd with this frenetic solo, a real cavalcade of sounds and swaying of the 10 fingers. The solo that will be a landmark... 7 minutes and the flood of pads, the howling of MAIDEN guitars again, yes their masters are there and each one will monopolize their style of music. Ennio's guitar finally comes back, you understand me, the wind blows with the Olympian roar, the opportunity to feel the beads of sweat beading on his forehead. A 4* with passages of 6*!
