THE JACK BRUCE BAND: HOW'S TRICKS

This is not my favorite Jack Bruce album, despite having two musicians I greatly admire, Tony Hymas and Simon Phillips, in the band. The songs are not bad. About a third of them have a light jazz fusion feel, but mostly they are forgettable. The second half of the album is more straight rock, with some prog and blues.

The more progressive songs are Madhouse, Outsiders (the best song on the album, in my opinion), and Something To Live For, but none of there are very progressive at all.

I have the original Polydor CD of this release, so again I do not have the bonus tracks, and the sound quality is less than spectacular.
