3 stars Dream Theater: Falling Into Infinity I heard that Dream Theater was facing a lot of pressure from the studio's to produce a media friendly album and Falling Into Infinity was them bending to the wills of that studio. That being said it still is progressive. It kinda reminds me of Neo Prog in its style. Its not very Metal though there are a few songs with heavy distortion like on "Just Let Me Breath". Most of the songs on here are forgettable but that's not to say there aren't dream theater classics on here. "Peruvian Skyies" and "Trial of Tears" are great songs by any means. The Songs "You Not Me" and "Just Let Me Breath" do bring the album down quite a bit. I heard Mike Portnoy was thinking about calling it quites while writing this album, thank God he didn't because Sense From A Memory would never have existed if he did. This album represents dark times in Dream Theater history. That being said its not that bad its just average.
