3 stars This is the second single Tangerine Dream managed to spin out of their work contributing soundtrack music to a couple of episodes of the legendary long-running German police procedural Tatort. These two tracks came from the episode Miriam, and having never seen it I have no idea how appropriate they are to the action, but they're fairly standard mid-1980s Tangerine Dream soundtrack bits. The quasi-orchestral style backed by mysterious vocoder lyrics on Daydream reminds me of a more stately, baroque take on some of the group's work on The Keep, Moorland, appropriately enough, is spookier and more foreboding.

Not really worth tracking down on its own, I'd say - but the tracks are available as bonuses on the Pilots of Purple Twilight collection, so if you were already considering picking that boxed set up they're worth a listen and their presence certainly sweetens the deal a bit (but if you were on the fence about getting it, I don't think these are the tracks to make you say "hell with it, I'm putting my money down").
