3 stars 3.5 stars. Really torn on the rating because I really do like this album, it's like a breath of fresh air. I'm just not the biggest vibes fan and it dominates. Lots of percussions, congas and beats making me think they were fans of SANTANA a fellow West Coast band. This was released in 1969 by the way, a Jazz album with a strong Psychedelic flavour or the other way around. The guitar is jazz and not exactly a favourite style of mine. Harpsichord is another instrument I could do without but I love that bass and he even uses a bow at times.

I really like that 60's sounding pop tune(oh wait a minute) "Stone Folk" with those repeated vocal melodies, so good. I do like the distorted guitar on the closer "Fall Out" and the distorted keys bringing Canterbury to mind on "Child At Play". And how about those two tracks with the long bass intros. Pretty cool.

So much to like here but then it is a bit of both. The album cover is so Psychedelic 60's but I'm not a fan. This is interesting enough for me to want to keep it around for now.
