5 stars My first review was on my favorite group's favorite album (Going for the One), and as I happened to see Ivan's review today, I decided to write my second one on my favorite instrumentalist in that group.. Actually this is not my best-loved Wakeman album, but damn! which one can I pick up as favorite!!!! Though I never had the chance to listen to his one hundred something albums (actually only half make "original" pieces, anyway, that's even more than what I have as progressive archive!!!) and as for the 15 something albums I listened to, I don't appreciate most of his work... Neither does Rick, go into his site and read his "verdicts" on some of his albums, e.g. Lisztomania (he says it stinks!!!) This doesn't change the fact that I won't ever rate one of his stuff with less than ***. For "stinking" ones, I choose not to comment on!! As for this one, as I said, this is not my absolute favorite, but it's among the top 5. Man, how many bands or artists can you name whose debut album blows up like that?? (vibrations was recorded without his notice, and he doesn't count, though it is added in his site...) Actually he did some stuff with Strawbs, Bowie, even one with Yes before, but this first solo outing?!?!? Wowww!!!! If youre looking for some musical explanation go to the other reviews. All I can say to you is if you haven't listened to this one, there's definitely something missing in your life. Not a single bad piece in this one. My favorites are the first and the last. Site admins should have included Catherine of Aragon MP3 here... I'm not going to compare this album to any of his work here. That's another review's subject... And for Spanish and French dudes who write in their language: En Anglais sil vous plait!!! (I don't speak french, I might be mistaken:) ) Please consider the writing in RED below the textbox while you're writing! 1 billion (maybe more) people speak English around the world, but only one-third speaking French. Let us understand what you wrote!
