The second Cardiacs album, A Little Man And A House And The Whole World Window, is a truly outstanding album. I was checking the recent review tab and looked at its album cover and went like "Oh! I totally forgot about this album!". I gave it another full listen and it was just as good as I remembered it being. Creative, inventive and incredibly important for music itself, this album (and this band) was the inspiration of many bands, that's undeniable.

With that said, I love this album. It features Cardiacs' signature manic avant-garde that is entertaining in every second. Some of the songs in this album are remastered versions of songs that appeared in the album preceding it, The Seaside. Because of that, I consider this the true first Cardiacs album, even though it's technically the first one. Stand-outs would be In A City Lining, Is This The Life, Dive, The Breakfast Line and R.E.S.

I recommend it if you like Avant-Garde, or bands like Zappa or Mr. Bungle. Very strong album with no weak tracks. It's five stars for me.
