CIRCUS

In 1974, Argent gave of their best with the studio album "Nexus" and an excellent live performance on "Encore". During the following year I waited with baited breathe for "Circus" but was bitterly disappointed. The title track is excellent and full of life but everything else on offer is without soul. I recall that they actually toured with real circus acts to promote this album ...Hmmm.. no wonder John Rotten referred to prog rock as boring a few years later, the rot (pun intended) was beginning to set in.
