5 stars An album that perfectly combines Post Rock's Droning and ambience with Jazz-Fusion's improvisation, technique and musicality. At their third proper record, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, a German post-rock/jazz band, simplified the average length of their records to make up for a more concise and direct album. Droning and ambience would be present, just not as much as their previous records.

The result was a pretty unique jazz-fusion album with lots of improvisation and open spaces for ideas. Whether it was the need of each of the musicians to finally be able to take the spotlight, or simply the necessity to change and spice things up a little. Whatever reason it is, it turned out to be an excellent record. This album is much more accessible due to the variety of songs in both size and purpose. Some being short and progressive, and some being vast and spacey.

This album is truly excellent and for sure one that most Post-Rock fans could enjoy and love. Highly recommended!
