VAPOR TRAILS

I have not yet determined if I like the newer "noiser" Rush. There seems to be a very jagged, hard, and unrefined sound to VAPOR TRAILS, and I think I sort of like it. But too much just gets on my nerves. "One Little Victory", "Ghost Rider" and "How It Is" are 3 songs I particularly like on VAPOR TRAILS, but the rest of the songs run together and I get bored very quickly. It is better than the 80's synth Rush albums but does not compare to classic Rush such as 2112 or HEMISPHERES. It's not a bad album but very average in the pantheon of Rush releases.
