2 stars There nothing remotely progressive about this album, it a weird mix of world music, funk and a pinch of techno thrown in. Avant garde? Yes. Sleek? Yes. Hip? Yes. Progressive? Not on your life. Peter Gabriel stopped being progressive or anything remotely resembling that after his first two releases. He went through psudo- punk to new-wave to world music, and Lord only knows where he is now. To be fair, there is some good material on this album like "Digging In The Dirt", but much of it is too un-memorable and boring to tears.
