1 stars ELP has always been pretty much hit or miss with me. Their best albums had some great stuff on them but I have never found what I consider to be a "complete" ELP great album. THe closest would be Tarkus and Brain Salad Surgey, but even they had low points. But this effort DOES NOT come close to being even a somewhat acceptable ELP album. THis is almost impossible to listen to at times. I have tried it 5 times and then I traded the CD back in. ENough was enough! Was this simply a cobbled together bunch of things that were not even good enough for Black Moon? I wonder. Only "Hand of Truth" and the bonus track of "Pictures at an Exhibition" are of any worth IMHO. There just doesn't seem to be any "soul" to these tracks otherwise. So...I guess I have to give a final star rating to this so how about a 1? Good enough. Can't wait to review Brain Salad Surgery, Trilogy, and Tarkus.
