TESTIMONY OF THE ANCIENTS

this was the first Pestilence album I've heard. I heard Out Of The Body before but it was the only song I knew back then. So the band released Testimony and I really enjoyed Land Of Tears. I should say that guys made a progress but in fact I can't say this album is better than the previous one. Mostly because some songs are quite weak and not memorable plus there are many short tracks that lead us from song to song and don't think it was a good idea. However The Secrecies Of Horror, Land Of Tears and Testimony are very strong tunes. I still like this release but it's not something I could call a death metal masterpiece. The band sounds great, there are lots of technical tricks here and there but I don't think it's the most important thing when you don't have enough godd ideas. Still strong death metal release and in my opinion much better than the latest band's album.
