FUNEREAL ECLIPSE

"Funereal Eclipse" is a demo release by UK, London based black metal act Skaldic Curse. It´s the band´s first demo and it was independently released on cassette tape in 2001. Skaldic Curse formed in 2001 and were active until 2011, releasing a couple of demos, one EP, and two full-length studio albums in that period, and also released the posthumous third album ("Devourer") in 2013.

"Funereal Eclipse" features 2 tracks and a total playing time of 7:57 minutes. It predominantly fast-paced, blasting harsh black metal, but it´s also atmospheric. The former is relatively generic and standard for the genre, while the latter feature is what brings something a little more speciel to the release. Nothing groundbreaking but "Funereal Eclipse" is a decent quality atmosperic black metal demo. The sound quality is decent too. A 2.5 star (50%) rating is warranted.
