4 stars WARNING: This is a real JAZZ ALBUM!!!

Jazz has many faces, especially in these post-modern times. Some players consider be-bop as the only form of jazz, others do fusions with anything they want. Mr. Bruford and his current band stands somewhere in the middle. Bill was never a be-bop player, but the rest of his group surely follow the jazz tradition and add their own ideas and talents. What we, listeners, get is a nice blend of all mentioned influences. Patrick Clahar shows fully his skills, although his playing on Incognito-albums (for which he was formerly known) is of course really good. My favourite track is maybe "Emperor's New Clothes", but let's take this album as it was recorded- as a concert consisting of two sets. There are many nice tunes and breathtaking solos from all four guys on this album.

Of course, this is not a CD for jazz purists. But what jazz purist would visit this website?
