5 stars Have you ever read any of Toni Morrison's novels? She creates so brilliant plots gently interlacing them with problems of Negroes' situation after slavery age. She is said to build the highest forms of narrative. Every single book wrote by her deserves to be put on shelf among another sort of ambitious literature, even though their novels pretend to be popular literature as: action books, thrillers. criminal stories, horrors, romances etc.

Why I mentioned it? It's easy- In comparison with Waters lyrics her achivements look less brigt, rather pale. Waters found the issue that no one can stay indifferent to. Why shall I be bothered by Afro-Americans discriminaion? It shakes me to hear about an iron in Negro's mouth but it's all. This emotional shock would last no longer than while reading novel. Unlike T.M.'s books a story of Billy will live inside me forever. Without shame I can admit it almost brings my tears. Trivialising important issues and making fun of people's emotions - these are the problems everyone have to face up to. Some people treat Waters as Crazy Diamond (because of a great despair of his father's - whom he even didn't know - loss and very strong repulsion to war) but oly a bit of consideration would lead to the point when we realise his righteousness.

Furthermore I am impressed by music composition idealy correspont with main thought delivered in lyrics. Everything sounds excelent. Together with imposing "scenario" IT ALL MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

I strongly recommend this record; good for listening any time - whether we want to go into reflections or enjoy some great sounds. Real masterpiece!
