4 stars First of all, let me just say that I absolutely adore albums that have their cover art matching the music perfectly. This is definitely the case here!

This US-based keys/drums/bass trio stirs up some gloomy, dark music. The damn heavy bass mixed with dense drumming and vinage keyboards galore creates quite an atmoshpere, reminiscent of some darker Magma tracks. Not too much in terms of avant-garde here, but that's no matter. There is, however, a nice hint of doom metal I'd say, though not as direct. The album isn't too complex, each composition relies on few core ideas without any technical shredding, but that only fits the mood, damn well at that. Misterious vocals are - for the most part - keept in the background, as the instruments tell the tales.

Not a masterpiece by any means, but a fresh and interesting offering indeed - for those who like their music DARK and HEAVY.
