THE YUMYUM TREE

After a couple of bands produced with fluctuating lineups, Ozric Tentacles get a bit more stability on The YumYum Tree, at least in the sense that the same core of four musicians appear on all the tracks. For the most part, this seems to be a bid of going back to their usual formula, but perhaps with the occasionally more "cinematic" moment - like a psychedelic remake of Laurence of Arabia could use some of this stuff in its trailer with no problem. Solid, but there's a sense that the group are a little low on fresh ideas and are concentrating more on getting this new, more stable lineup to gel in the studio.
