3 stars Following with my discography-marathon of Marillion, Holidays in Eden, second record with Steve Hogarth...

A soft rock, commercial and simple album. Most of it is not even really prog, but I've enjoyed this album. Nice and well written songs, varied, really 80s inspired, with reminiscences of famous 80s bands, like "Cover My Eyes", "Dry Land", "No One Can"...

Nothing very original, but enjoyable and nice to hear, like the last song "100 Nights", a beautiful climax for the end of the album, excellent solo behind Hogarth's vocals... They can make simple yet beautiful music.

Sometimes it doesn't sound like Marillion at all, and that's a signal of how versatile became this band with Hogarth.
