2 stars This is not really a prog folk album. The sound here is more radio-friendly rock alternating between soft and harder songs, mostly soft and mellow. The closest to this sound that comes to mind for me is Moody Blues. Good harmonies, good lyrics, but just lackluster compared to their other efforts. Highlights are "Burning for Me", "Cuts Like A Diamond", "Barcarole", and "Heartbreaker". Everything else seems to be either filler or just plain dull and uninspired. This is not HERO and HEROINE, GRAVE NEW WORLD, or even DEEP CUTS. I own this but rarely give it spin, usually just thinking I may discover something else here. I never do. Not the worst Strawbs, but not even close to the best. 2 1/2 stars for big fans only. NOT as an introduction to Strawbs, by any means.
